Our house

We were able to buy a house in Glide and close this week.  We closed Monday and moved Tuesday and Wednesday.  We have half an acre and a lot of yard work ahead of us, but we are very thankful for this blessing.

This is the breezeway between our garage and house.  We are very excited for meals and relaxing outside.

We have a “studio” that will be our exercise room, with a storage area for the lawn mower and yard tools, and a covered area for the wood.

The horseshoe pit needs some work, but we are excited to entertain since everyone I talk to loves playing horseshoes.

The loft needs some work, but Jaxon thinks it will be his man cave.  We are very excited that we found this house in Glide.  It’s close to the school, our favorite blackberry patch and the North Umpqua River.  It has everything we need and many of the things we wanted.

We finished our shelves tonight. It took longer than I anticipated, but I’m happy with how it turned out. My helper had to pose on the top shelf.

Liquidation Team move

This week I helped my dad start the move from their existing warehouse to the new site in the former Robert’s building on Center Street and Orem Blvd. We took down several rows of shelving and put up several rows of shelving. We had to move move everything off the warehouse floor so it could be treated, then move everything off the showroom floor so that could be treated. We had to move a lot of pallets, so we saved time by riding the pallet jacks in between runs.
I also got to ride a scissors lift for the first time. The controls are touchy because the joystick only moves forward and backward, and the joystick buttons make it move left and right.  I need a little more time to get precise with driving it, but I can add it to the list of things I’ve driven.
