It was fun to go crabbing and fishing this weekend, but the real reason for the trip was for Jaxon to get the Priesthood. Mom and Dad flew out from Utah to be here and support Jaxon. It was a great show of support.
Me, Jaxon and Grandpa.
Jaxon will now get to pass the Sacrament at Church, and he is very excited. The hardest part about living in Oregon is being apart from family. This weekend was a chance to be together again and try some new things. Through the sealing power we are able to be together as families beyond the grave. It is the reason we live the way we do. Death cannot keep us apart if we live true to our covenants.
Gavin took us to Diamond Lake to go fishing yesterday. We left our house at 4:30 am. That sucked, but everything else was great. I knew going with Gavin would be the only way to go. Here he is with Jaxon.
Mason was tuckered out after catching so many fish.
Showing off before we started to clean the fish.
Mason pulled in the biggest fish.
Cleaning the fish at the Diamond Lake cleaning station. We limited out and left with 25 fish. It was a great way to spend the morning.
Mom and Dad came out from Utah to spend the weekend. Gavin took us to Charleston to go crabbing on Friday. We ended up with 3 Dungeness and 11 Red Rock crabs. We ate them tonight. It was great.
Proof of our success.
After crabbing we went to Bandon for seafood at the blue shack and agate time on the beach.
