This obstacle really built our confidence as a team. Reed was nervous about the monkey bars. He can do a lot of pull ups, but he can’t grip well on monkey bars. Having the bars built on an “A” frame didn’t help. I was one of the first to go, and I waited for the guy in front of me to get near the end. I didn’t want to get jammed up and hang there. Going up the bars was easier than I expected, but going down strained my shoulder. I adjusted my positioning a few times to protect my shoulder, but I made it across. I think Reed was last, and he made it across too. We had seven obstacles left, and we were doing well.
