45 times

My oldest daughter had a goal of going to the Temple 45 times to do baptisms for the dead. This morning she reached that goal at the Draper Temple. That is probably my favorite baptistry that I’ve seen so far. It was a great experience to spend time with her during the drive. She told me the story of Hunger Games twice before I read it. It was nice to hear her talk about school and friends. Most of the time we would stop for a doughnut on the way home. Today we had to stop for fancy doughnut to celebrate her goal. This ranks as one of my best experiences of my life.

Temple Square

It’s been a few months since my last post. Blogging is the last thing I think about when I’m stressed, and the last few months have been worse than usual. Yesterday we went to Temple Square and saw an art exhibit in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The kids loved that. We hadn’t seen the Christmas lights in a few years, so I wanted to make sure we saw them this year. It was a great experience.
The Assembly Hall

The Tabernacle.

The Salt Lake Temple.

It was nice to spend some time at the visitors center and see the displays about the sacrifice of the Saints in building the Salt Lake Temple. Follow that up with Settlers of Catan with friends we hadn’t seen for too long, and it made for a great evening.
